I hope telkom would be good to us like last month. :D
 
I have two 2GB accounts with TI and the one was capped at just under 13GB and the other was last at just over 7GB before the time ran out. I downloaded a movie to see how far it would go ... hope the same happens again.

thats why i have a feeling it has something to do with what they call their 'collective'.
 
No. You have jus not disconnected since last month. If you were capped and on a local connection going into this month, then you will still have that local connection. Once you disconnect and reconnect you will be back on blended again.
 
You can 'push it' as far as you like. Local is uncapped but you can be post billed for the usage.
 
i don't understand why they capped you before reaching your service threshold. do they have broadband accounts with a threshold smaller than a gig?
 
Read the explanation again. He was not capped this month. He was capped last month. Because of the ICASA ruling, he must disconnect himself then reconnect to be uncapped for this month, otherwise he will remain on a local connection...
 
Just got capped on my 1GB account. Connection just died, after 1.5GB of usage, and dropped & reconnected :( Did about 8GB last month :mad:

ow, that sucks. looks like they caught on to our behavior of last month and had some human come in and kill everyon's current sessions. Or maybe and more likely, it was because you went over your threshold on the first day of the month while the average of all their users wasn't close to 1.5 gig. Anyway have a look at that email they send if you apply for reports from the usage tracker "our unique bandwidth management service".

btw, do1 = how many Kbps?

Just did 1GB yesterday on do3.

I'm on do3 but Telkom haven't given me my 3GB account so I'm still using my 1GB account from when I had do1. So technically, I just used up my 1GB international in about an hour.

I have to say last month I had about 5GB. Ohh well SAIX news server here I come. The news server is such a joy in the begining of the month. :)
 
I never got capped on my 2GB account usage ended up at 2.8GB
July: sitting on about 300MB blended
