Telkom's big interconnect score

the only reason guv even thought about interconnect reductions was to help its little baby telscum get into the mobile space, this had nothing to do with lowering cost for citizens.
 
I am not sure that Telkom is actually the "biggest" beneficiary because you have to take both the MTR and the FTR rates into account and look at the respective sizes of the companies and their respective dependence on things. I do believe that CellC will be bankrupt if the asymmetry does not kick in within 6 months.

Telkom gets its ass handed to it on the asymmetry between MTR and FTR for years to come so unless there is a bigger strategy in place to deal with the distortions in the market between technologies we will continue to have problems.
