Hi guys,

I have a friend whose mom has her e-mail setup on her PC and her laptop and it also comes to her blackberry.
She moans now and again saying that the e-mail is very slow sometimes, so basically, it stops coming, then she tries later and tries again and it works.
What can be the cause of this error - I've spoken to him and tried to guide him, he has setup Outlook, setup the e-mail to download and leave it on the server for 2 days.

The issue is on going though - some days the e-mail works on the laptop but not on the PC - sometimes visa versa.

I'm thinking that maybe the setup is not happy when BOTH PC's connect and tried to download mails.

I've suggested she basically do all her work from 1 machine (probably the laptop) but I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and can give me some guidance so maybe I've missed something because she really wants to keep her 'setup'

I've checked all settings myself with my friend on the laptop and the PC in questions but like i said, one day it works great and other days not.
The e-mails are not large - small e-mails (150KB etc)

Shouldn't be a problem, we download to 4 systems via Thunderbird without hassles but I'm seeing increasing "funnies" on old XP systems using Outlook Express.

She was using Outlook Express - she is now using Outlook 2007.
Both PC's (laptop and desktop) are both setup exactly the same.

for anyone looking for the full IMAP settings, this worked for outlook 2013:

IMAP/SMTP
Imcoming Server: imap.telkomsa.net
Outgoing Server: smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net
Username: [email protected]
Require logon using SPA: unchecked (no)
Outgoing server req auth: unchecked (no)
Imcoming Server Port: 143
Imcoming Server Encryp: None
Outgoing Server Port: 25
Outgoing Server Encryp: None

Especially useful if you have a phone/tablet, and prefer to have all in sync.
