I've DMed the twitter account a few hours ago but no response. Want to get an estimation on how long I have to wait for my line to be installed.

Their twitter account should still respond but normally you have to wait a day or two for the response. I used their twitter account to get clarity on my Telkom issues that I had during November 2017.
 
@beesboertjie you make it sound so easy... In reality yes, they do reply (most of the time) but usually with canned responses. For example, it's usually a different person that comes back to you each time you reply, like your query is a hot potato. Little consistency or logic. To be fair, you did say "from their social media team". Social media team indeed - not the place to go for technical, billing, or sales support!
 
I made a misstake, just whent back to look now i actually wrote a PM four days ago and even sent a message on Twitter without any resonse so lets hope for a reply from them today
 
Hi. If your problem is that urgent, why don't you go on their website and use the Chat service on there? It is a live chat with one of their agents.

I've tried that one.
There is no reply...
Sending a PM to TelkomZA wither here or on Twitter has also not gotten a reply yet.
Sending a message on FB got an automated reply.
Calling 10210 gets nowehere.
Emailing to the address provided on the Telkom homepage gets no replies.
Using the Telkom App to try and send a query gets an error every single time.

Any other suggestions?

That is exactly the problem the Telkom app is out of order as well and cannot even query after 72hrs as the app states let alone speak live to a consultant been saying cannot connect and should try again later for the last four days.
 
Sent them a PM on here Thursday morning last week with a billing/service inquiry, got a reply Monday at 12:00 and the issue was sorted out by 14:00.

Previous issues with my account as well as ADSL and Fiber installations was also handled within a couple of days from sending them a PM on here.

Much better service than trying the phone or e-mail options, or maybe i'm just lucky :p

He just ignores me.
 
Same as others have said, sent PM to the MyBB account with no response. They responded to my DM on twitter but I've asked a follow up question yesterday that they still haven't responded to. I've also tried phoning them but after ~15 minutes of being on hold I just give up.

Going to go to a store today to sort this out. Seems like that's the only thing that will work.

my FB messages usually get responded to pretty damn quick

only automated messages I have had is the ones when you are out of working hours
