I'm sure some of you have interesting stories to tell about their Wii. My family loves it and we moved our Hi-fi so it's now taken a prominent position next to our TV:)(unfortunately my 360 was relegated to the bedroom TV cause my parents think it's too big and noisy:().

We normally hate doing things together but playing on the Wii took up our entire weekend. My step-dad even decided to take a long drive to the Pavilion in the rain today, which he normally never does, so that we could pick up a copy of Wii Play and an extra Nunchuck:D.

Well my story isn't as great as yours. i can't afford to buy one just yet so i had to go to pavs in durban and try out wii sports. needless to say, the experience is unbelievable. i rock at wii tennis. gonna get mine in december.

To keep it short lets say the boxing match caused a few real accidental blows to be exchanged in the living room. :p

Overall I am surprised by the motion sensors on the Wii and it performs quite well in the bundled Wii Play & Sports titles. Now to get a real game and test it should be something else. Zelda or Metroid is the question....

My wife and I love it. We had a great session yesterday playing tennis in the wii sports as a double team against the computers double. And she loves the old console classics as well.

I don't have any proper full wii games yet, though I'm lookin to purchase Zelda maybe later this week. From what I've seen and heard, its a great title and should show off the wii.

My story: I could barely tie my shoes this morning :D
Spent most of Saturday on level 1 on Wii Play with my 3 year old, shooting ducks and spaceships ... man the excitement on that couch when the spaceships "steal my people daddy" :)
Later on decided to try out all the Wii Sports events ... man, that tennis match takes it out of you ... and boxing lol ... imagine a 3 year old and 5 year old going at it ... that was a laugh a minute!

I love it ... but my body is aching! :D

My arms are very sore this morning.

Bowling rocks! I get the same scores that I do when I play for real, its very accurate! It's great to finally have the girlfriend join in with my computer game antics!

I love it. My wife and myself have been playing the bowling and she beats me hands down everytime.

My body ached on Saturday morning- all my muscles were stiff. I am really unfit if a game puts me into this state :)

I hear you brother, I hear you! :D ... but ssooooo worth it!

EDIT: Has anyone done the Wii Fitness test? My Wii age is 34 (and I am only 32 :()

I'm 47 and thats about 20 years older than I actually am. The day before that I was 76. haha

I was a bit disappointed with the game selection that retailers are carrying, was hoping Super Paper Mario would have been on the shelves :P
So If anyone knows a local retailer carrying it then brighten up my day ;)

Its a deep burn! I don't know if you saw? I did over a 1000!

There was a minor incident involving an over-zealous game of tennis (2 player), a dog, a misplaced coffee table and the Wiimote...

Kosmic - how did you get to play on the same side in tennis? I think my girlfriend is just about ready to give up on tennis

AFAIK (I haven't tried it): When you get the screen to select 1/3/5 game match, you click on the respective players with whichever remote to decide who you want to be

Brevity, Landyman has it right.

Select the game size ( single , 3 or 5 ).

When you see the screen with the player position selection, it defaults to controller 1 having two players on the left and controller 2 having two on the right. Move your cursor over your extra player and click it off and get your girlfriend to do the same for both of hers. She must then click the empty one next to you. You should both be the on the same side of the net and opposite you will be two players with ? in them. The computer will control these.

I found this a nicer way to play double as it doesn't split your tv screen and for those of us with older tv's you need all the space.

Enjoy .... and WATCH those arms!

Tell me about it ... my wharfedale piece of crap in the lounge cuts off about 2-3cm on the left of the screen, so its a bitch to follow the balls in the left most section of the court

Have you checked your TV settings? On the wii you can set the screen size to either 4:3 or wide(16:10/16:9). If its on wide and you have a normal tv you will lose perspective.

No, you don't understand ... as a norm on that piece of crap, everything is cut off ... as if the tube is too big for the casing. DStv, SABC, e-tv, DVDs, PS2, Wii ... everything!

1. How much does it cost ?

2. Extra controllers ?

3. Games available ?

4. Thinking of getting one to entertain a truckload of kids ?

1. R2899
2. Wiimote with Wii Play: ± R569 Nunchuck: ±R249
3. Currently 5 I think: www.nintendo.co.za
4. Hell yeah! Imagine a 3 and 5 year old shooting at balloons and spaceships ... not to mention the arms swinging during a boxing match :D
