Did anyone have any success accessing Telnet / SSH on this device?

I can connect to it, but it won't take my web admin login.

Also tried root as username. (with my password and "admin")

If your creds don't work on the login page, try spidering it, or DirBuster to find other resources that are not protected.

Awesome, thanks. (Message was in an obscure folder in my mailbox...)

Where on earth would that password come from? (And how was it recovered? If I may ask) (String dump from firmware?)

Is there any way we can set the time on the router? Or let it update from a ntp service?

It seems possible, probably unde the Services CLI path...

General manual covering navigation (and a tiny subset of the settings) here

Once in CLI:
Code:
> cd Services

Services > cd Time
Services_Time > ls
Services_Time_LocalTimeZone = [SAST-2]
Services_Time_LocalTimeZoneArea = [ZA]
Services_Time_InitialDate = [010100002010]
Services_Time_NTPEnable = [1]
Services_Time_NTPServers = [igubu.saix.net,sangoma.saix.net,induna.saix.net]
Services_Time_NTPInterfaces = [1]
Services_Time_LocalTimeSuffix = []

Could some please help me.
How do i add a static route to this Pace 921VNX route via Telnet.
I have tried the following but its not working.

route -p add 172.18.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 172.18.44.62

That might be somewhere under Layer3Forwarding_Forwarding (read the manual linked above for how to navigate its rather weird CLI interface)

It might be somewhere on the web interface as well

There is a whole load of parameters:

Layer3Forwarding > cd Forwarding

From there it will likely need wither another CD to change to an instance and edit it, or a "mk" to create a new instance...

So I changed my HTTP account password and can't get back in but I can log in via Telnet Username: admin | Password: nology*/

How do I reset the HTTP accounts password?

There is probably a way, look through the info... (You might be looking for a password hash instead of the password...) (Mine is currently offline, I can't quickly check...)

A much quicker method is probably to do a factory reset, which probably involves powering the device on, something with a small point and a reset button.... (Some devices, you hold that for a long time, some you hold that while powering the device on, for a while, etc...)

I did look but all passwords are hashed, Also I don't want to reset it as I don't want to have to try recover my telkom username and password for my pppoe account :/

Hopefully I will find a way.

Thanks

Thought I would share in case someone is in my position.

Password reset for Pace 921VNX via Telnet/SSH (Telkom firmware)

Step 1: Install and run PuTTY
Step 2: Connect to the router's IP via Telnet/SSH (Telkom Default: 10.0.0.2)
Step 3: Log in with user: 'admin' and Password: 'nology*/'
Step 4: Change directory to the User Directory (type 'cd User')
Step 5: Display user list (type 'ls')
Step 6: The admin user is number 3 on the list so now change to that user directory (type 'cd 3')
Step 7: Now to change the password (type 'set Password password_here)'
Step 8: Now we need to confirm the password change and apply (type 'fcommit')

Your router will now load the password into the config and reboot.

Now you should be able to log in via the web interface at http:10.0.0.2

Any idea how to enable snmp on the device? I can not find anything on the web interface
I don't think it has an SNMP agent... I can't remember seeing anything in the CLI interface either (not currently using mine...) (I was looking to get SNMP working on it as well at the time)

Username: admin
Password: nology*/
I have the same problem with the D-LInk DWR-956M Telkom supplied me. Tried nology*/ even though I did not expect it to work - it didn't. I managed to make the config file sowewhat readable but I don't see anything there. SSH is running, I can disable/enable it from the GUI. Can anybody help?
