Went on to www.telkom.co.za, followed link to search and searched for "service", got the following response.

Telkom Search

Ultra Search search portlet timed out.

Seems like Telscum web site is a true reflection of themselves.

When the search does work it throws up all kinds of files including many that I am sure telkom would not want publicly available ie contract addendums, details of responsible technician and planners for various areas.
So much for telkom security

Telkom Search
Ultra Search search portlet timed out.
According to Netcraft the Telkom website is Oracle 9i Application Server with Portal (9iAS) running on a Sun Solaris box
http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=www.telkom.co.za
and the Ultrasearch Portlet is the Search Engine component of Oracle 9iAS
Release 2.
Oracle has since then released Oracle 10g Application Server.

Ultrasearch Page

The search engine has a crawler very much like the Altavista scooter or
Google bot (http://www.google.co.za/webmasters/bot.html) that crawls
and indexes your webpage.
