I want to use ATITool to configure fan speeds for my ATI 850XT.

The fan is at about 5% most of the time and then goes up a bit when the temps get higher. What's a safe max temp? 70C? I'm about to replace my stock 775 cooler with a Zalman CNPS7000B AlCu, and continuing my mission for a bit of quietness, I want to stop my gfx from revving up to 100% unless it gets above 60C or so.

Also, does anyone have the Antec SOLO case? It's practically the same thing as the P150... Looks very nice, but I don't know if it's worth the 1k price tag...

Cool. And I just realized that the P4 cooler is the main source of noise, so the system should be quite a lot quieter with the Zalman cooler.

I have an X850XT in another PC, and the highest I've seen it go is just over 80C, and even then the fan did not speed up.
I wish I could say the same about my 8800GT :D but even that only gets hot in really warm weather.

i know my Previous graphics card. Radeon 9800XT ran at around 75degree's most of the time. Ingame was around 81degree's.

Well it seems the stock fan and controller are doing their job quite while. I started up Crysis and ran around shooting things and cloaking and stuff and the highest it got was 79C. During some hectic multitasking, with Prime95 and a virus test etc, my P4 630 maxed out at 80C, but this should drastically decrease with the addition of a Zalman cooler.

And strangely, CPU-Z just reported that my CPU is running at 2.8hGHz, when it's supposed to be 2GHz...
