What really grinds me is that in the case of MTN they are completely unable to prevent the content billing from taking place via their billing system. Claiming it is not their problem. At best, and only after one hell of a battle may one perhaps get a list of companies to contact, and then the battle to cancell starts.

Surely one should rather be billed directly by the third party (content provider) via their own system, and not through the cellphone network provider billing system.
 
the cellphone network provider get's a commission on these things... so it's equal to bribary
