Our lease is coming to an end on October 31st but we have been unable to find other accommodation. Can the Owner/Landlord throw us out on the street? Our payments are up to date as well.

Did the landlord give you notice? Check if there is a notice period (one month or so) in your contract.

It sounds like they were given notice and then for whatever reason failed to find new accommodation.

I believe the landlord may give you the notice agreed upon in the agreement after the fixed term expired.

The owner/landlord may have made alternative arrangements already based on your lease ending.
I'd suggest talking to him/her as a first option.

If it is this then sorry for the OP, they will have to leave.

The same applies if the OP gave notice without finding some place else...
