After Roger Federer won the French Open he became the sixth player to win all four grand slams. We all know that Andre Agassi is another, but I did not know who the other guys were. If you were wondering, here they are:

Fred Perry
Don Budge
Rod Laver
Roy Emerson.

I hope Nadal can join that group - only the US Open left for him to win, and he is getting better on hard courts...

Rod Laver won it twice in a row. He was banned from playing tennis though because he wanted to play professional.

What did sampras lose out on?
No ladies?
Has anyone won them in a row or in one season?

I hope Rafa also gets to be in that group.

Sampras didn't win the French

Numerous ladies ... Steffi Graf was one (golden grand slam, all four grand slams plus Olympics in 1988)

Haha couldn't have said it better!

I really hope that the US Open elude Nadal and I hope that Federer shows him how to play tennis this coming Wimbeldon!

I used to feel like that about Nadal, but he seems to have matured a bit over the last two years. I hope Federer takes Wimbledon to break Sampras' record, but after that it should be open season :D

Haven't been following much in recent years. Was a fan of Martina Hingis and Pistol Pete.

Nadal may not even make Wimbledon.

Oh he'll play, don't worry about that.
He's already lost out on a bunch of points in giving the Queen's tourney a skip, so he will not want to do the same at Wimby and thus probably allowing Federer the easier route back to the No 1 spot.
Also, check out these pics that were taken only a few ago. It looks like Nadal is following his doctors knee rehabilitation program very closely. A few more weeks of this and he will be super fired-up and ready to go at Wimbledon. :D

You should also point out that even though Perry, Budge, Laver and Emerson have also won the career slam(all four majors), they accomplished this on two surfaces only- Grass and Clay. The US and Aussie Open's during their time was played on grass.
Agassi and Federer have won their slams on grass, clay, DecoTurf hard court at the US Open and Rebound Ace hard court at the Aussie Open.
So Fed's and Agassi's achievements stand out from the rest.
