Terabyte flash drives here soon?

I know they exist, but i can see hard drives as we know it disappear with SATA Chip Based Drives becoming the norm... its about time!.

wow... nice, but I can only wonder as to how stable those things are, i mean, can you imagine 1 terabyte of data going down the tubes, eish, thats a lot of movies...

I would think they are a lot more stable than the normal trays we have. No moving parts.

Yep, it's been a long time coming, I've always been saying the hard drives of today are 20years behind all the other computer technology.

Unfortunately this is not the first time I've read about some wondrous technology that'll kill hard drives each time it just disappears, hopefully this time it'll actually happen(last time was about some kind of memory that'll replace primary and secondary memory all together)...

Also it seems these hard drives won't have unlimited writes/reads, but nothing will last forever.

One wonders if there isn't a conspiracy with Seagate, WD, Maxtor, etc etc to push these ideas out of the market. They would have to completely change their business model and mnf line if not...
AND they will be wayyyy behind kingston, sandisk, etc...
