Telecommunications regulator Icasa has delayed the implementation of further call termination rate cuts.

we actually need to see the documents in question and get an exact indication of what is going on here.

The MTN suit seeks two fold relief an interdict on the implementation of the regulations (Part A) and the review of the regulations (Part B). They attributed urgency to Part A and really sought to strong arm the regulator and prejudice the rights of the respondents and other interested parties particularly because if an interdict against the regulations stood there would be every incentive for MTN and Vodacom to stall Part B as much as possible. If we are seeing an agreed to date of the 1st of May then MTN have bought themself a few million rand and little more.

I do believe that Telkom and CellC have an interest that could be taken to court to oppose the delay and frankly Telkom's legal team could really cause riot.
