Also with Afrihost and thought I would add my results. What are the chances @AfriFella can chime in here.

I can see that your ping is poor however, 728ms on the first hop which is your Dlink router is very odd. Did your latency improve?

Hey jaqkar, I don't see anything wrong with your results. 178ms to Europe is not really bad.

I can see that your ping is poor however, 728ms on the first hop which is your Dlink router is very odd. Did your latency improve?
hello thanks for replying, its not 728 ms on hop, thats the amount of packets sent, its 0ms. pretty much the latency has improved but still isnt great. every now and then itll go back up to a constant 280 ms. ive done testing and it isnt a LAN issue, the ping is usually 0 or 1 on home network. the issue is routing, for some reason there seems to be a big jump from 10.189.30.6 which im confused by.

Strange. I'm in the East and get around 180ms to EU servers. Thats okay.

as you can see it routes me terribly. the issue seems to be 10.189.30.6 . this address causes me to go through the US blizzard gateway apparently according to blizzard support. does anyone else have this problem and/or know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

This issue should now be resolved. Blizzard made some changes to the route on their side. The problem IPs aren't in the trace route anymore.

Also how do you have packet loss on your local LAN already :o
