I find the opposite to be true. If you with the right ISP they will sort it out for you as quick as possible....I hope your ADSL line is not with your ISP. Best to deal with Telkom directly.

Some areas really suck. Some of the technicians they've sent to my property was shocking.....Never had more than 2 days downtime since logging an online fault. Yes openserve tends to rock up unexpected.

I've had one lady about 5 years ago that was really good and went out of her way, but Telkom moved her to another area. Then there was just a bunch of young guys who had no idea what they were doing. The second last time I had an extremely rude and racist guy, couldn't wait till he left my property.... I really wish that lady was still around. Not too bad here. The last visit was two guys. One probably on the verge of retirement and another young guy who did the dirty work. But about an hour later my modem was synching again![]()
Get some prepaid 3G/LTE/Rain in the interim until issue is reolved.
Putting your son's future in Telkoms hands is highly irresponsible.

GreatThanks for the advise, appreciate it. We have a prepaid 3G bundle he uses when the internet is down - as this has happened in the past with Telkom. So we do have provisions in place and will never gamble with our son's future; this is just not a sustainable solution.
