(CNN) -- The death toll from twin bombings in Uganda rose to at least 60, police said Monday, a day after explosions ripped through venues where crowds were watching the World Cup.
At least 71 people were hospitalized, police spokeswoman Judith Nabakooba said.
The blasts in the capital, Kampala, occurred within half-an-hour of each other. One struck an Ethiopian restaurant in a neighborhood dotted with bars; the second one a rugby sports center.
Stone Atwine was watching the game at the rugby center when the blast occurred.
"It happened toward the 90th minute of the game ... this loud explosion," he said. "We didn't know what was happening, we were running around, scampering for safety. I saw dead guys still seated in their chairs with blood."
Atwine said a second explosion struck the venue seconds later, and turned off the lights.
"At that point, we ran off. My friends and I ran into the car and drove off."

I take it that in your case, you yourself don't even know why you have a problem with "religious folk", you just seem to have a problem with people who believe in something you don't agree with which is what you don't like about "religious folk" in the first place right?

So you don't like a certain group of people because you assume they're doing what you yourself do to them ... nice.
 
Sorry, I don't see the Ghana connection from what has been posted... This seems to have occurred in Uganda? What does it have to do with Ghana?

Lumping all religious folk into the same category as terrorists. The article doesn't even make mention of any religion to blame. You are a bigot and that mindset is no better than the terrorist mentality who blow everybody up innocent men, women and children because they don't quite fit in with their own ideology. Good going.

just to give one example out of personal experience last night. We were watching the final last night and of the guys at the bar (a christian drinking on a Sunday :eek: ) starts talking about religion and how women should obey men cos the bible says a women should submit to a mans will.

Please note that I was not even part of the discussion imo its futile to argue with religious people.
 
Police Chief Kale Kaihura said he believed that Somalia’s most feared militia — al-Shabab, which has pledged loyalty to al-Qaida — could be behind the attacks.

Al-Shabab is Somalia’s most dangerous militant group, one that militant veterans of the Afghan, Pakistan and Iraq conflicts have helped train, according to international officials.

If Kaihura’s early suspicions that al-Shabab was responsible prove true, it would be the first time the group has carried out attacks outside of Somalia.

In Mogadishu, Sheik Yusuf Sheik Issa, an al-Shabab commander, told The Associated Press early Monday that he was happy with the attacks in Uganda

There has been no claim of responsibility for the bombings.

An al Shabaab commander in Mogadishu praised the attacks but admitted he did not know whether his group was responsible.

"Uganda is a major infidel country supporting the so-called government of Somalia," said Sheikh Yusuf Isse, an al Shabaab commander in Somalia's capital Mogadishu.

"We know Uganda is against Islam and so we are very happy at what has happened in Kampala. That is the best news we ever heard," he said.

And you base your whole belief concept about religious people because of one idiot in a bar where you hang out? How quaint, how feeble!

BTW even Zuma claimed woman should submit to a mans will, therefore it was not rape.

no! as I said only one example. to be honest I don't despise religious people and get along well with most religious folk.

P.S Zuma is also a priest :p

Drinking on Sunday is not sinful.

Obviously the guy was a half drunken male chauvinist or he could be an introvert just pretending to be macho or he could just have broken up. Do you not think it's likely there are other motives for his behaviour?

Finally what has this to do with terrorism?
