EV's are hilariously simple things, strip away the self driving and cameras and fast charging and whatever flashy stuff,
its a Battery, motor and controller, thats it,

no gears, to break, no shafts to lubricate, no brakes to replace, no nothing, like camshafts and oil and brake fluid and coolant and everything else a ICE vehicle needs.

I think they need to go back to basics, and look at something like a Beetle, why did they sell so many? because it was simple,
combine that with the toughness of a Corolla, and you have a recipe for success

I think Tesla making the software propitiatory and difficult to work on, and the subterfuge with glued on bumpers did them worse then having said to people okay, were going to make the model T of EV's, simple reliable and anybody can afford and fix.

I think there is definitely a market for somebody to step in and say, okay, were going to build the Simplest Cheapest EV that anybody can maintain with basic tools and with some common automotive knowledge.

problem with that is the profits will be Zero, as you dont have cameras and LIDAR and AI and software running it,

If they strip away all the fluff, it might actually be affordable as well.

But let me chirp in. Dumping Tesla stock or product is purely as a result of its inflated price, the business doesn't remotely justify the valuation or the projection. It's overvalued, underperforming, the product roadmap is anemic and the competition is surpassing it. The IP has lost its value due to mismanagement and egotistical endeavours instead of profitable avenues being pursued. Cybertruck is a disaster and the Taxi is a sinkhole, promises get extended perpetually and the biggest problem is that rational voices within the company is being silenced. There's warning signs all over the place that the company is a bubble that will burst spectacularly and drag decent companies down with it.

So why Hate Elon?....well the **** will cost the rest of us money. Not just "liberal tree huggers"

The competition is not surpassing it by any means. Yes there are now many many car companies with electric cars, but Tesla has been doing this for a lot longer than them, so they are still way in the lead. FSD? full driving will be the norm, it's a technology that will be sold to other car companies so it is a huge market for them. Cyber truck may be for a niche market as it is very futuristic and not for everyone, but nothing is stopping Tesla from making a "normal" pick up truck should they want to. Semi, they're still building up the production line, it will be the norm to have electric trucks, dah.

Taxi? why not, a full autonomous taxi is available in some parts of the world... it's a great idea if all the tech comes together, and with FSD it already is.

Bubble? Tesla, oh come on... they sold 1.8 million cars last year. Sure other competitors are now waking up so there are more choices, but if you think 1.8 million cars is a joke then ummm
