I don't like Apple due to their products being overpriced but Tesla would fit their target market perfectly.

On the other side of the coin, I won't count Tesla out yet. Their productions is only now starting to get up to speed. A Giga factory is not build in a day...

That all depends on how willing Elon Musk would be to cede power. It's not a bad idea though; at a high level the brands fit together very well. Plus all the rumors of Apple working on a driverless vehicle system.

Musk once admitted that Tesla was only a way to an end and that his goal was to completely revolutionize the automotive and electricity industries. He even stated once that he'd sell Tesla when it is not required anymore.
