Hi all...

I started this thread because the only other one i see about TDU is before it was even released!!!

Well... Now its released and i guess a few people has got it already, so lets post some offline gameplay and online gamplay expriences here!

I love the game, have not yet played it online... But i will soon, and the graphics are really good, but the bikes are the best!! Getting the "Wheelies" and "Endo's" down are quite hard, but practise makes perfect!

As soon as i go online, i want to start a South African Motorcycle club... So all of you that are into motorcycles, i would recommend you join me!!

My game name will be "Nemesis-Gamer" so far, and im looking forward to seeing you guys online and for your posts here.:D

offline ...
not too impressed with TDU, seems a bit character-less ... a great idea, but it just does not do it for me ...

Played and almost finished it on the X360 almost 1 year ago. Great game with lots of cars and places to visit on the island. Good online races against a wide variety of folk.

I think the most exciting feature of the game is its free roaming aspect which makes you choose what races and events one wants to do.

Been playing it on the PSP for a couple of hours. Really enjoying it. Haven't tried online yet though. Comparing it to the NFS games, it's really hard. I had to play a few races a couple of times before finishing first. With games like NFS it's almost too easy.

TDU kills need for speed carbon. it does need some fine tuning but on the whole much better than NFS, which is just a 'carbon' copy of the last NFS in the series with a few more bells and whistles

Hey,

Youre right, TDU kills NFS Carbon!!! Carbon can smell my rubber from TDU, i dont care about that game.... :D

Only thing i dont like about TDU, is the way the steering wheel turn.... They made everything so nice and pretty, why couldnt they just made a more relistic steering wheel that turns how its suppose to (something like LFS)

Anyways, good to see u guys are posting here....

Later Aligator:D

I've had TDU for Xb360 for a few months now but only really started playing it a few weeks ago, and offline only. It's a lot of fun and the graphics are amazing! I've only gotten to the part with D class cars so i havent gotten very far :) It's hard to play a lot with other stuff to do ^_^

Hey ravage,

I played for like 2 days, and i could buy any car and any house i want to buy...

Its really easy!

Travel around the sides of the island until you get to where you started, and then just drive by all the dealers to unlock them all. While u do that u will automatically drive past "transport" missions, do those....

The car transport missions pays 80 000, but if u do it perfect, u get a 35 000 bonus or 40 000, not exctly sure.... they are long missions, but all worth it!

There are i think 40 car transport missions to do, and that can be a large sum of money to gain, and do package trasports, because they pay like 40 000 i think.

Good Luck

i was considering purchasing the game but when i read reviews PGR was sold to me instead...

testdrive unlimited sounds like NFS?

Hey halicon,

TDU is NOTHING like NFS, really.... NFS is no match to TDU!!

If u drive a mile on TDU, it really feels like you are driving a mile and the speed is so relistic!!

ITS REALLY AWSOME!!!!!!!!!

PGR is nothing compared to TDU as well, really... watch some gameplay trailer of TDU on youtube.

I see on their forums an eagerly awaited patch is due in May, fixing the following :

Hey Luke,

I know about the patch, yes...

But its really not coming along, and as we all know... TDU for PC was supposed to be released in November 2006, and it got released in March!!!

So im not counting on getting patch for TDU soon!! But i dont care too much about the patch, because i have no problem with the game at all!!! (i even play the game at max settings)

I see on the TDU forums that alot of people complain about having graphics problems and performance issues and some issues with the MS steering wheel.

It also says that there will be more cars to download in the future... so cant wait for that

I really dig this game, altho it crashes if I start with a motorbike when leaving the house.

I own like 5 bikes and 2 cars lol. I also dig the bikes! Got wheelies down, but eish endo's are another story...

Has anyone played online??? I doubt SGS has a server for this...Then again I think gamespy has something to do with this game so it might be hosted by mweb or something??

Hey MeNez,

Im glad to see another guy that digs the bikes as well...

Wheelies i can doe for miles and miles, its soo fun... And ive got the Endo's down as well.... You just have to practise doing Endo's in the 3rd person view, that way you will get used to the way u have to brake and lean, then go back into 1st person and you will have it!!!!. EASY!!

Anywhoo... i havent played online yet though, but i know you have to have a gamespy ID to play and no, SGS dont have.... i think its all hosted somewhre, so everyone from all countries connect at the same place or something...
Not Sure
