Testing stations open?

My girlfriend is in a bit of a situation at work. She manages 3 people and the one girl decided to take off on a public holiday and her excuse was that she had her drivers test that day... my gf had to work alone etc with sport notice. the 9th of April the day after Easter Sunday? Family day? My question to u guys bec I can't find it on the net is.

Are the traffic testing stations where u do the drivers tests open at all on public holidays?

My girlfriend took her to the boss and the girl said she would bring proof that she was there.. so my gf just a little worried that she wrongly accused her... she just needs to know for sure if it was open or not so she can take it further or leave it...!

Indeed but that is besides the point. If she had leave and was entitled to it, it's of no concern what she does with her day. If she didn't use leave and a unpaid day was given to her, write it off and move on.

And plus this girl always taking chances whether its a public holiday or not so my gf can prove that she lies...
My gf needs strong people. This girl never meets her targets for the month when everyone else does because she's always off or has to leave early for a reason. my gf wants to get rid of the weakest link..

A public holiday is still a day off irrespective of the type and nature of business.

Nail her for other transgressions but not that one.

Hugo, word of advice, be careful how she treads. People can be quick to cry victimisation, especially if someone has no substantiation for a claim.

What you are saying is that the country's Labour Law specifically exludes public holidays for any employee working in "the service industry".

Sunday is also a public holiday but they have to work? Or else when u go to your local spar you gonna wait in a long queue because only 1 cashier pitched up?
