Hi folks

We would like to prepare for another round of testing. This time we will include Vodacom’s 3G service and will also try to include UUNet’s offering. We will obviously need testers for all these services! Please mail [email protected] if you are willing to help us out with testing. Please state the service you are using in your email.

I am also glad to announce that we have reached an agreement with a software developer to use their broadband testing software free of charge during our testing phase. They were even willing to adjust the software slightly to suit our needs! This software is the best I could find on the net and we are quite confident that we will achieve accurate results with it. More details about this at a later stage.

We will also throw in an MP3 player and a few movie tickets to two lucky testers, so please mail us if you are willing to help. We really need as many testers as possible.

Regards,

RPM

Wouldn't it be ironic if Telkomonopoly was sponsoring the MP3 players. Reality - RPM sponsored hArTh's if I recall correctly (unless it was adverts on MyADSL).

Oh you meant where do they come from...hmmm :thinks:...Taiwan! :D Everything good comes from Taiwan even shrimp in America is/was from Taiwan.

I've got my Mag-lite ready for action, ON is a 1, OFF is a 0 so watch for the transfers carefully or you might miss it.. always wanted an mp3 player.. but can my light signals from the torch cross a property boundary or will I end up in the clink? I'm worried. Ok I'm out.. sorry.. wait, does it count if I hook up 10 56k modems? No wait that'll cost more than my car within a few hours.. oh well back to the drawing board :(

Hi CARoper

These MP3 players are the remnants of an investigation into importing electronic equipment. I quickly found out that the sale of equipment is somewhat different from what I have imagined, and it is certainly much simpler to just give them away. I also feel that it is for a good cause, so that makes me feel better about the monetary losses sustained :D

Regards,

RPM

Can't you land some TV cards please man, I really wanna get a TV license but need a reason to pay for it. Is Everybody loves Raymond still on SABC3? That would be the deal breaker.

Uhhrrrummm, don't you mean Every1 hates Gaymond? - I cannot stand that show & I also hated SeinVeld as well [yes, I am the odd 1 out], also wasn't partial to Frasier.

Not a criminal investigation I take it :eek: on the other hand it boost the wining value. Hey look at the HOT MP3 player I won :)

Seriously tough, I was concerned that it was coming out of your pocket, now I guess it is coming out of your pocket. :D

Cheers
Chris

Yep, I think I have to say I'm also concerned that too much is coming out of RPM's personal stash [o' cash], I know I sortof objected way back in December to service providers serving up prizes, but whatif: you have a competition with 3 or more winners in a month - [prize A] from Telkomonopoly an ADSL router;
[prize B] from WBS an iBurst UTD;
[prize C] from Vodacom a 3G data card.

You get the idea...yes?

Now there is an idea!

I am in for testing and Everybody Loves Raymond is da bomb!

Cheers
Ant

Just wondering...

RPM, I assume that any member of the public can offer to participate by emailing you on [email protected]?

Do testers have to be MyADSL members to stand the chance of winning one of the prizes?

PS: Ant, I'm cool with that, as long as I don't have to watch it ;)
