Texan Steak

I see that thread is 7 years old, wonder if they are still chewing their steaks from then

The best I have ever done a texan is like this,

Quick braai the texan over hot coals, treating it more or less like tenderised steak. Slap it on a roosterkoek with whichever ingredients like a gherkin, cheese… and add prego sauce. Then braai it like a braaibroodtjie till crisp.

the above most certainly helps to consume a texan. Btw, bacon doesn't make a texan taste better...

Quick as in like 4/5 minutes a side? Only issue is that so many of these texans come with marinade on, which burns on proper hot coals.

Depends on how thick the cut is, but go read the old thread on the steak.
