Text based game?

Can't think of the name of this game... You start off a baby and then progress all the way to an adult but have to make decisions/multiple choice along the way. It's quite old. Called something like Second Life I think, not the MMO...

Does anyone know what it is?

I know of a game called Real Lives.
It's not fully text based like command prompt though. It has a GUI which displays a satellite photo, diary of your character's life, personal data about your character etc.
