Imagine, if you will, how much attention to the road this woman was paying when we (I was passenger in this case) could get into JUST the right position next to her and I could frame this photo before shooting it. I even had the time to wait and watch for when she looked up so I could indicate that she was caught out. And, in a country that reportedly kills 14000 people a year, nonsense like this is what contributes to the problem.

FTR, this was along Northumberland just after The Dome, heading to Beyers Naudé; that I will freely acknowledge is a lovely straight section of dual carriageway. Which in no way makes this behaviour right and when you consider that people are most likely to do what they consistently do, I can only infer that this is something that she regularly does.

As, for no reason that makes ANY sense to me, they DON'T have an email address on the contact page I had to speak to a call centre agent to get one to which I could send the photo. And, yes, a link to this thread. And, surprisingly (which is not fair to Charl, I just loathe callcentres), that was actually painless.

It's all good, cos 'speed kills'. Not reckless 'tards. Hope you have the license plate and forwarded the pic to Motorite, because that's just a complete fail.

Who says she was texting?
Maybe she was shopping online, updating her facebook, replying to emails, whatsapping, twattering....

Woman are multitaskers like that.

Eish but who does not use his mobile phone while driving?
You know what, as much as you meant that as a humourous jibe, the sad reality IS that we're all far too inclined to do shit like this. And we all agree it's a menace and we shouldn't and WE don't do it ..and yet we see it every.damn.day.

Of course if we had visible, ACTUAL policing of our roads, this is something that we would hope to see less of. For my part I'm not about to hold my breath on that happening any time soon.

With headphones on nogal - just to block out the noises of hooters/sirens etc...

SHAME ON YOU

So thousands of people (one in four according to the related article below, so hundreds of thousands) do this every single day (and I agree it's wrong and they shouldn't) but you decided to single out this poor girl and make a fuss and just to stick the knife in email every manager in country?
