No, irony is normally not intentional? But lets not go off on a tangent at present. I must admit I am a bit disappointed in you as it's clear you have not really read the thread and it seems I have to repeat myself again...again. Let me try and do a short hand version:
- Agreed one should not text and drive
- But thought it was a bit harsh to publish photo on large forum and notify employers
- Others actually postulated that photo looks a bit dodge in that damsel may not have been driving but stopped at side of road
- then OP admitted to having done same thing in the past (texting while driving) as well as currently still engaging in this practice
- OP also seemed to have a hidden agenda with Motorite with damsel merely collateral damage
- OP actually got an invitation to contact Motorite and then just went AWOL in terms of letting us know what happened next
I am not sure where I have been hypocritical in this thread? But in general terms, I am sure I have been guilty of this in the past but it is something I strive to avoid personally. As for what warrants my behaviour? Why, the same thing that motivates you to try and undermine my little crusade. I would call this irony
And you do realise that the lack of response was evident way before any "insulting" commenced?
Oh yes - one of my main points of contention was that the woman might get into severe trouble in her work due to the OP's contacting her employer. Surely the easiest way for the OP to debunk my stance would be to let us know what actually happened to her when (if) he contacted the financial director? Surely........?

I said something that was mostly baseless (I did say that in my post) and look at how its riled you up, it even got you throwing some more insults around. Epic. Teach someone a lesson, and find out what happened. Ok. You realise that the former is nigh impossible to accomplish on a forum right (nevermind when you are trying to do it in a derogatory manner), you may as well go chasing windmills? Which leaves the latter, and you keep insulting the OP, so the likelihood of his return is also approaching nil. From my perspective, you're just being silly now. It wasn't an insult - you did seem slow to grasp things that were pretty clearly posted. A case in point - you say I didn't answer you why I thought it was harsh to contact her employers? How many times have I posted that I was concerned on the impact on her career and that therefore her "crime" did not justify the (potential) punishment?
In addition, were your posts not trying to teach me a lesson of some sort? But before I claim to be psychic, what was your motivation then?

I'm literally only here because you have irritated me, I've easily stayed out of this mess of a thread until today. Its childish and petty but today I can afford to waste time. Most days I would happily be on my way, having simply added you to my non interaction list (like I'm sure most people have already done). If I teach you a lesson, great, buts its far from being my primary goal. Its far more fun making you make a fool of yourself (which I've already done - mission accomplished)
Anyway, so you were afraid this lady would be punished in some manner. Isn't that exactly what should happen when you break the law? :wtf: (note: you've probably answered this already, but in case you forgot again, I havent read the whole thread, I dont have that much spare time)
edit: in addition, the (potential) severity of the punishment is not up to bdt, so none of that lies with him, he only reported the incident. The punishment is entirely up to her employers, over whom (I assume) bdt has no sway over unless he is Professor X or something.

2) Post enough times and this thread will be the top result when someone searches for "motorite".
3) When someone clicks on this thread from Google, the OP shows up.
4) Not many people will read this far into the thread.
Therefore, you're actually doing more harm than good for the poor little lady in the OP.

I had lots of free time before (roughly) November 2012. Now I do not since I am working for a different client. Would you like to continue discussing how much free time I have? Will you be able to back it up with facts, or just your usual deflection and poor attempts at trolling me? Heck you could just go to my profile and see that lately my posts per day are quite low, whereas in the past 100+ per day was easy. But hey, dont let that stop you from insinuating that I'm a liar. You clearly know more about my daily routine from a number on my profile than I do
Finally, dont worry, I havent let you sidetrack me with all the above foolishness. I am still eagerly awaiting your reason on why bdt is to blame for any potential punishment the lady may have received. Heck, I'm still waiting on why the lady should not have suffered any consequences.
No man, it doesn't work like that. If she was going to get into trouble it would have happened already. She cant get additional charges brought against her just because people are posting about it or get to see it now....

She may have received a slap on the wrist (or it might even have been treated as a big joke at her work), but let's say this thread does become the number one "motorite" search result (me saying "motorite" so much isn't helping either
) and that ends up with top management feeling uneasy. Her next mistake at work may be her last.Just one scenario in which increasing this thread's ranking won't help.
