Thailand/Bangkok QA thread

Thai Elite does not allow working, remote or otherwise. Not that they really care as there doesn't seem to be any monitoring of it.
Yeah, technically only Non-B and Non-O visas allow you to work if you get a work permit. I just mentioned it as it's one of the best options that allow the younger people to stay in Thailand for more than 180 days consecutively without needing any form of tax residency. Non-ED visas are another option, but they are also a bit dicey.

 Kak funny. But now that it's unsuppressed ... I'm listening.
Hahaha, my first GF there was a tour guide and she wanted to visit all the sights in Bangkok as she never had the confidence to actually go to those areas alone, so we headed off to a Patpong and were convinced by one of the touts to visit one of the upstairs bars (super sketchy places).

Things started off quite mild with a lesbian shower show followed by a paint show where a woman danced while a dude painted her with some transparent paint, after the dance they turned off the lights and the paint glowed revealing an amazing tiger on her.

Then things got weird with bottles being opened, and cigarettes being smoked with unmentionable body parts while they placed balloons all over the place. A woman comes out, lies on her back with a blowdart jabbed up her privates and proceeds to start darting the ballons around the place. I suddenly felt a sting below my collar bone and saw the little dart sticking into my shirt. Got the hell out of the place and went home while my mind raced about possible infections.

A few days later I headed to the Thai Red Cross to get an HIV test which was a whole other adventure as they ask you why you think you have a small chance of perhaps being infected and then they make you **** bricks when giving you your results.

@MaisonP or @Norrad

Tell us about the pingpong shows there. It's Friday after all.
Well there isnt much to say. Shows are all around Bangkok here, its everyware, nothing is hidden and its for everyone to see. The menu looks as follows..
If you can use a little imagination what you read is what you get. :)

I think the menu i attached was from the same place in Patpong LOL
But Patpong is dead now, deserted, no more markets and things. Its very sad but Nana is still very much going as usual.

Its already 17:30pm here now. I am still working SA hours and around 4pm ill be going out to see what the evening will bring. You never know what might be served up.
All I know is that Bangkok NEVER disappoints.

Etter..... Maseharre. And a mouse show
The funny thing is that these places are packed... not just with men, but women as well. Guys go there with their wifes. The police walk outside and make sure people behave themselves somewhat.
The the left of the pic are the clubs and one of the thousands of clubs scattered all over Bangkok. As you can see police presence all around.

This.
It's years of travel that's made me like SA more.
Once again, if your happy with how SA is treating you. Good on you.
I am certainly not. SA is a shythole.

The only thing good about SA is my salary. The rest is f*ct

No, I wouldn't expect anyone living there to be vaguely interested.
Like so many places, what tourists see and the reality of life there are two very different things. Was just pulling the leg.
For sure. It is way more focussed on the tourists. But if you live here you avoid it.

The italics is a giveaway on this forum. We don't have comic sans anymore.
I get you know :)
It is depending where you are. The same can be said of almost any country.
For sure. I am talking basics here. Quality of life, food, daily costs of living, cheap travelling, public transport, type of people, opportunities (Not talking work here), electricity, etc.
Thailand really offers good value for money.

Agree. I think SE Asia is one of those places that isn't affected by the markets in the same way as here and they have a lot of home grown talent when it comes to food.
Food is definitely one reason I'd move there. Awesome value.
I was mentioning on another post, this morning i woke up around 8am Thailand time, went to the gym in my condo, afterwards went to my roof of my condo for a swim.

Walked down and about 30m from my condo had probably more than 50 different types of food as options. Sat down at my favorite sour beef curry shop with noodle, had a full meal, with a water and it cost me R34.

Felt like something sweet, bought a crepe with banana and nutella for R8, went back to my condo, and started working. For a snack i had chinese peaches and bananas and lychees, it cost me R12.
For dinner i will probably go BIG. I will order 12 pieces of Korean chicken with kimchi salad and sticky rice, it will probably cost me R130 for it. Ill eat it all and around 12pm tonight ill be hungry again and ill walk to 7/11 and buy chips and ice cream. It will cost me R23.

If i do feel like i want to go big, there are many michelin star food vendors around, or i can go to a rooftop and eat there. That will probably set me back R300.
The thing is that Thailand offers you to eat cheap but also have amazing fine dining experiences that is 5 star.
