Yesterday I bought the sim and a router and within 30 mins of arriving home I was all rica'd up using the mobile app and up and running. It's been running stably with a low ping and yeah well, everything is great!

Thanks for making setting up easy and well, I'm happy!

In my neighborhood the only issues people were having, and not just with Rain but other networks, was during the first lockdown where everyone was using the networks for work. I got some good feedback in this area about Rain and that was good enough for me

For reference, which area?

Ah, that explains it - she/he is from the future! My city/country/world is still suffering through the first lockdown at this very moment, uninterrupted, with no end in sight.

I am tremendously relieved to learn that the future looks bright, evidently without any post-apocalyptic scenarios, and best of all: The future holds good Rain in store for us all!

The amount of traffic flowing through these networks when people are all using them for work purposes is mind blowing. Talking thousands of skype meetings, updates, downloads and uploads for all sorts of things, trillions of pieces of data per second. Durban's networks in general all ground to a halt. I couldn't even skype on my dad's Vodacom LTE and my Telkom dongle is still sitting in the bottom of a bin somewhere, I just gave up.

But right now things have returned to relative normality here. It's just I'm from CT or at least, I work there so yeah, things are different there and now in Gauteng big time.

You crawled away from the tower, I see. Now you are many miles removed from the tower as well as the oasis. Should have consulted the Optimizer in the control panel before you ventured out. Listen, if you still have 2G signal, try and call 112. Perhaps you can still be saved ...

Sadly this is my Rain experience at the moment

Shame I'm being mean. It will come right Goos. Everyone is struggling at the moment these are extraordinary times.

Ey I hope so. What keeps me going is that one week in June where it worked beautifully. They've admitted that the tower has a fault, its now up to them to fix it.

Sadly this is my Rain experience at the moment

mine was like that for a good portion of the lockdown,
and due to our landlord thinking we live in 1955, no fiber.

thankfully somebody's RAIN dance worked and they built/redirected a tower to our area.
now its okay, its usable at least but still isn't brilliant,

It’s temporary... I’ll waiting patiently for when the 7 day free ends ...
