Oi.... I guess even insulation can only help so much.... Pricing just for interest sake

R1200/m2 to remove Thatch and fit Chromodek.

Coincidentally I did just such a quote for a client last week.

I recently chopped down 3 Bottle Brush trees that gave lots of shade at my pool/braai area. I turned a nice red during Sunday's braai. So probably time to look at putting something up. Probably won't be thatch. So watching this thread for ideas.

If you're wanting to do away with the thatch you could consider a louvre awning.

Ja move away from the thatch. Let your mind go. Lots of options.

There is that niggly voice in my head that tells me there should be some solar panels integrated into the mix. But that is very specific to my layout.

I was thinking the same some years ago.

Instead I went the full A frame metal carport style with "Chromeadeck" which is the same size.

Never looked back because of the following:-
1) Less insurance costs
2) Less maintenance
3) Actually looks nicer
4) No worries when morons set off fireworks
5) Less mess on the contents - meaning dust and decay falling from the thatch
6) Less insects
