the 1881 error..to get dstv or toptv now? Help

Today I came home to find my dsd giving me the 1881 error : Power supply error. Phoned Dstv, no use getting mad at the call agent lol, she helped me best as she could. This is the second time this has happened (3 years back). Im not going take it to dstv care centre...and pay for a software error I didn't cause:wtf:

My options are to go get another dstv dsd or try toptv? What do you guys think?

If toptv where the best deal?

Software error? It's hardware... I believe the decoder can't send power to the LNB. Then cuts out and tries again.

Checking the tv guide on top tv, didnt really say hello thou I did pick up on their pvr..according to the site the pvr should be launched no later than feb 2011...

Checking the tv guide on top tv, didnt really say hello thou I did pick up on their pvr..according to the site the pvr should be launched no later than feb 2011...

Well, we are well into Feb... and we (in the industry) have not heard anything solid about this release. So, I doubt it.

@toptv ppl : whats the fastest way to get this thing activated? Via the webform or phoning them? Im waiting for the installer who hopefully would be here soon.

Cause dstv does the re/connection in a flash

DO NOT SIGN A DEBIT ORDER WITH TOPTV.
Their accounts dept is possibly the worst in the continent (I think they are Nigerians).
Otherwise, they are not bad, esp theit nature progs which I watch regularly.

Cause dstv does the re/connection in a flash

2 days via phoning / sms

Use the money saved for bandwidth to dl the tv you are missing...

I called when the installer was there, call lasted a few minutes to activate.
