The 26 Best RPG's

*shudder* .... I'm just not keen on 'Cartoony' type games. Same with JRPG's, they're just too kiddy-like if you know what I'm saying.

True, cartoony games dont always grab my attention, WoW was more per pressure and very interesting (lore wise) for me. What can I say... I got hooked :p JRPGs usually are, since their based (usually) on anime (now those universes are HUGE - take Naruto for example)

But hey, if its a good game, its a GOOD game ;)

hey .... you just said RPG ..... and everybody assumes the new ones ....

what about the original D&D .... still played on paper with lots of different dices and books ... anybody remember that????

and Colossal Cave ... played on Mainframes back in the late 70's .....
and then ..... Rogue on the UNIX machines ....

Very true, and its depressing to see so many people not picking up the classics... guess they'll be classified as historic RPGs

or that they were just sucky, lol. I played them back then but as stated before, retro games are just  these days.

You can see this list just tries to dig into sensation. The fact that they put Fallout 3 [after it only being out like a week] on it and NOT Fallout 1/2, is telling. Fallout 3 is good, but not better than Fallout 1/2 ....how it suddenly gets up there is just to tie in with popularity.

Besides why put "Ultima Series" there, and then have Final Fantasy XI/VIII, Baldur's Gate 2, Diablo 2 , Oblivion split up?

If he was consistent he would'be put there "Elder Scrolls Series" [Daggerfall was still groundbreaking back in the day] . "Diablo Series" [Diablo 1 was also pretty much groundbreaking] and of course "Fallout Series" and "Final Fantasy Series" .

PS: Ultima 9 was epic fail anyway (which is why there is no last Ultima)

This guy was obviously bored and thought he knew what he was talking about...

I dont think that this was in any way based on reviews or actual gameplay but purely on his subjective view on what he thinks is good, that is the reason for Fallout 3 being on top.
