So...
On many of the domains afrihost host for us, many customers and their staff were calling us last week to tell us that their email authentication fail warning boxes have been popping up in their outlook, thunderbird and live email clients.
I contacted afrihost and did the usual long wait to freedom with their call centre, after describing the issue and then having to re describe it differently, the staff who dealt with the call and whose name is unpronounceable to me, secretly put me on the silent hold they now use, after wondering if the engaged tone would be heard at any second, unpronounceable comes back to me and says the problem is solved.
I asked what the problem was, he replied saying that he had to change some settings on the account. I kept my mouth shut as there was more than one account involved.
I thanked him for his "valuable" time and to my great relief, hangup the phone. We promptly sent them an email to say thanks and to humbly requested to go through the 60 or so domains we host there and ensure that their house is in the proper order so that we don't get calls of that nature from our clients ever again.
In typical "New Afrihost" fashion, less than one week later, my phones started to ring again, my clients had their pitchforks out and were starting to riot. It was the same %^&*ing problem. Only this this time their response to my ticket submission is classic. (I only submit tickets now because i just cant call them anymore. Life is too short. Also, its good for legal recourse later apparently)

It seems as though Afrihost is now delegating their work to us. They are really taking this slave labour ideal a little too far (that's a joke Afrihost).
It is now reaching comical status that AfriGhost staff think we have the time to solve their issues for them. Are they aware we are running businesses and have jobs already and that they are paid to deliver working products that we the consumers have already PAID for?
The problem has gone away on its own and not been experienced for a few hours now. No feedback of any kind has been received from AfriGhost.
Has anyone reading this worked with hostking.co.za or webafrica.co.za? Any reviews that can be shared? I think Afrihost has had it.
