The Democratic Alliance issues an annual report of their assessment of the performance of the members of cabinet. Big surprise, the ANC is not living up to it's promises:

http://www.da.org.za/newsroom.htm?action=view-news-item&id=8971

Some highlights:
- 25 cabinet ministers reviewed - only 13 passed ie: at least 5 out of 10
- The overall score: 4.7 out of 10
- Top scorer: Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan - 9 out of 10
- The president of South Africa - Zuma - 2 out of 10

When will the masses wake up and vote the ANC out.

Now there's a surprise! Who would've thought, the DA failing the ANC... Really, totally unexpected, I'm shocked!

What would you have scored them? Id really like to hear your opinion on how amazingly well the ANC are running this country.

I wouldn't score them but it's silly to take any score the DA gives them seriously - they are rivals after all and despise each other. It's like saying 'Well Israel fails again... Iran has given Israel a fail score'... duh ... or how about Apple has given Adobe a fail score for their year... duh

I see where you're coming from, and from that perspective it would be nicer if this came from an independant and neutral source. But that doesn't change the fact that every item in the report is supported by facts and is just about impossible to refute. There's a link to download the actual full report. Have a quick skim through it. Every score is based on what the ANC IS and IS NOT doing.

So yes, it's a pitty this report isn't done each year by an independant source,....but never the less the facts are all clear and available in the full report and are hard to argue against because it is simply reflecting on the ANC's ACTUAL performance.

The ANC fail once again!

LOL. A case of a player playing referee.

It would be interesting to see them grade their provincial government...

We believe that one of the stars of the Zuma administration is Minister of Health Aaron Motsoaledi, who is quietly and judiciously going about undoing all the damage done to this department by some of his predecessors. At the other end of the spectrum, two dismal performers deservedly lost their positions. The communications industry was relieved of the stale influence of Siphiwe Nyanda, whose maladministration and centralising tendencies have severely hobbled the movement of this industry into the 21st century. Women, children and the disabled were not helped one iota by the completely rudderless performance of Minister of Women and Children, Noluthando Mayende-Sibiya, who earned our only zero score. We simply could not find a single achievement to take note of.

In what universe is the Department of Health a star performer??

They're not saying the department is a star performer, they're pretty clearly saying that the new minister is doing a good job of reversing the damage done in the past. The department is still mostly in a shambles and the DA would probably be the first to tell you about it.

It's not about voting the ANC out, it's about keeping pressure on them... if the ANC only had 50% of the votes, they would start working harder to improve votes.

Does anyone here support the ANC and why? Would just like your opinion...not looking for fight :) For me all politicians are fail but hey DA seems to be the best.
