The Audi Thread

So pretty you had to post it twice? :p

Yeah that could it had to reposted twice....

But seriously though it's 1 hot machine I just don't see why the Quattro version is *so* much more over the FWD model.

The Quattro also has the 18" rims & leather standard vs the FWD model.

Sitting at a Total garage. Car didn't want to start after i filled up petrol. Did notice a tell tale sign this morning already like it was struggling slightly to start. Got a low battery warning now. Waiting for the Audi technician that Audi Assist is sending my way.

Bleak.

Battery is the problem they say. Take it in tomorrow morning to get it replaced under maintenance plan.

Just as well it happened there and not on top of the parking building at work, at 7pm :p

Should be a quick job?

Audi Gods looking after you. :p

Now you can list 'new battery' if you do end up selling. ;)

If you have a tracking device, have it checked out. After a couple of years, the unit's battery dies and then it drains the car's battery. Happened to us a couple of times before the Tracker guys replaced the unit's battery

So my A3 is booked in, they have to do the full set of tests 'cause it's on motor plan. They'll feedback later today.

On the plus side the car gets a wash & vacuum ready for the weekend? :)

Oh, the car did start without a jump start this morning. It struggled for a second or so and then started.

Driving an Audi, I though you guys would know you never EVER let the dealerships wash your car, no matter what brand you drive.

Are they that bad? I am kind of resigned to the fact the car will lose value over time. Like in 4.5 years the car has probably lost around half its value?

Anyway, they replaced the battery.

its* :p

The problem is that those employed to wash cars do not know how to take proper care of them. In fact most people don't.

They probably use one bucket on multiple cars. Think about all the dirt going back into that water, and then being scrubbed into your paintwork leaving fine scratches.

Two bucket method only here. After pressure wash.
