The Audi Thread

[snip]
Keen to see if you guys have similar quotes for extending.
Mine 6 months back was the same as Dolby IIRC, except I have a 2010 Audi A3 1.8 tfsi Stronic with 62500km on the odometer.

Basically a about a ten percent escalation in price, yours vs ours.

Its madness. I think I will give motorite a call. Had a maintenance plan on my Oprl Astra in 2003, never had issues with them.

The way one of the salesman explained it to me is that you *will* use R20,000+ by the 2 services in that time and probably brakes.

So it's R20,000 for peace of mind.

But I'm with you - insane pricing. I think BMW extentions are half that?

Dolby you using your A5 as a daily driver?

What are you guys planning with your Audi for the weekend? I need to go find a proper car shampoo.. any good suggestions? I was looking at the Maguires ultimate was n wax, comes in a yellow bottle. Wondering if it's worth it.

It's very good. I use Gold Class when proper dirty (more shampooey not having wax), and Ultimate Wash & Wax when not too dirty or when I'm not waxing after washing.

I just get it all from Makro, fun going to the car care aisle.

My K&N Typhoon intake is arriving from Canada soon :D Should add +-18kw.

And this video to hear before and after

18kw with just an intake? Wow

As I recall the typhoon changes the whole setup and isn't just a filter swop.

Need to take off the plastic covers etc.

It does sound a bit lofty at 18kw but then if the stock fueling is of such a nature that it works very happily with the new system then it's not impossible I guess.

Maybe 18kW when the software is done as well in order to account for the mod...

The question is, do you already have a downpipe? If not, then why cold air intake first?
