The Audi Thread

Left to go fetch kids and heard a horrible loud metallic scraping sound. Pulled over and called Audi Assist.
Get the car to Audi Airport and true as fck it does not make the noise anymore.
They checked everything over anyway and found no problems anywhere. They did pickup marks under the car from something the klapped it as sometime and suspected it was something stuck under the car. Did not make sense but all checked out and was fine so all good.
They were very good though. In case it was something serious they already had an A4 waiting for me to leave in while they did repairs. Thankfully no repairs necessary.

And to top it off, I walked away with...

You misunderstand. I think he'd rather get one for the wifey, can't swap out a sportback with an SUV you know.

Ye - my wife is the greater influence in the SUV side of things. She does drive a Sportage after all.
Although, she is eyeing out the new Merc C class.

I looked at the C... The front is decent enough and interior is subjective (but not to my taste so I won't comment). The rear however? Blegh that looks bad to me. Bloody expensive as well

Might rather suggest the B class since it is actually a family car and a bit cheaper than the C. Otherwise a good value Tiguan or Kouga would be worth a look.

Then again I'm sure my disdain for all things Merc is already well known :p

If I have to fit an aftermarket nav system to my 2014 Audi A4 would it affect the warranty?

Shouldn't but you had better check with them. They probably won't cover the sat nav should anything go wrong with it but that's about it.

As stated, make sure. Always get written authorization from the dealer before making any modifications to your car if you're going to be relying on the maintenance plan and / or warranty.

Get her the Q3, the Q5 is too big for a woman driver. I bought mine from a woman driver and had to have 4 panels and the 2 side mirrors resprayed

Would it be silly of me to ask what the damage was that the car needed such resprays, yet was something you didn't pick up on purchase?

No I did pick it up before purchase and arranged with the dealer that I would only buy the vehicle on the condition that they respray the 4 panels and the 2 side mirrors. They agreed.

Ah okay then. Thought it was something which only became noticeable later on (such as deep scratches or oxidation in hard to see spots). nevermind then

There are many woman drivers that are just as capable as you, when it comes to parking and driving a bigger SUV.

Yes there are. There are also many useless male drivers on the roads. Had a guy in a Prado reverse park straight into my Megane. He apologised for not being able to judge the length of his car:D

Is this a decent price?
