I'l give you an explample. My father has a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T.
Engine mounts went. R11000
Front SV joints replacement R10000
Gearbox on last legs: R25000
Engine cooling went 3 times: R5000 per fix.
Stunning car is a stunning condition PostmanPot! Congrats!!
When is the next service due and how much did they estimate it will cost?
That's very well priced, enjoy![]()
Looks nice, congrats !
Good buy. About a year ago I almost bought the same type of A4 at around the R120k mark. Had a child since then so went the SUV route instead.
The only negative things people warned me against buying a A4 out of its warranty/motor plan is that when something goes, it can set you back quite a few thousand which is why you see such bargains for out of service plan A4s. But at the end of the day it is the same case with most modern vehicles. Something big can go wrong with any car, or not at all
Sarcasm?
Thanks.
Will be receiving it early this week.
Yip. Non turbo hopefully minimises this. I've been quite lucky with the replacement parts included, also spoke to the previous owner (50s). His father in law's car which the previous owner bought from him. Definiteley not a windgat, treated car superbly, always parked in garage, etc. So I'm left feeling confident.
Well, the car looks brand new at a third of the price. A steal. Plus you got it via the dealer which adds some peace of mind especially for that first month. There are lots of bargains to be had in the 80k-120k mileage range. It is used, but still has a good few years left. As long as you have surplus funds available for a rainy day then there is nothing to worry about.
