The Audi Thread

I am quite interested in how this will turn out in the long run. It would be interesting to see in, say 4 years time, what the total running costs are compared to buying a newer but smaller B-segment car.

I'd hazard a guess that if all goes well you will actually be better off than buying a smaller car, with maintenance plan, lower fuel consumption and insurance costs.

Hope you manage to hold on to the A4 for that long because it would be a pretty cool case study, sure is much nicer than any new B-segment car available right now.

Thing is he did his research and found a gem so I am sure he will be fine. That motor is very reliable unlike the TDI variants.

Found it...

You have the best wheels for your car. Are those Audi or bbs? They can be hard to tell apart...

In my experience you are quite wrong in all but one respect: insurance.

But then this isn't a car for someone whose descriptions of motor cars include the phrase 'point A to B' it's a car for someone who loves cars and loves to drive.

^^ That!

I have the 2.0T

Have not had it for long so no issues but from all the research I have done, if you look after it, it will look after you

Manual, I went to great lengths to find one in good condition with all the options I want (PDC, Xenons, Alcantra seats, sunroof, bluetooth, RS4 mags)

Very nice sand_man, did the RNS and 2 tone display come with the car or did you fit them?

I'm looking at doing both

Both standard!! The only thing I changed later on were the mags to the 5 spoke mags...

Hell, I miss this car man!! Paid like R266k for her! She was a demo used for the launch! Traded her about 2 years later for R230k! Big fcking mistake! I had just bought a new house and the Mrs was expecting so I felt the need to cut costs and downgraded to a Renault Megane! Could easily have managed but at the time I was panicking a bit...
