The Audi Thread

^^^^

If anything major on the Audi does go wrong, Chevron will be right though, it will be expensive to fix.... but as for the value for money part.. thats debatable. I have had 2 Audi's, 3 BMW's and a Merc.. for me the Merc had the best value for money...

That's the same for any German or entry luxury car.

All the naysayers had their say in this thread about if anything major - go back and read if you like - and they were shown wrong.

Hence I went for the 2.0L. I have its full history, I even tracked down the previous owner and spoke to him.

And one more thing, life is full of "if this and thats", I don't let them turn me into a nervous wreck.

My car is 95% paid off and I have a good amount saved up for any niggles.

I just make sure that it's always covered by the Freeway plan. Current one is only 2 years old so covered for another 3 years

Never said I agree with him though in terms of buying/not buying the car :)

I've had my fair share of Luxury cars... and never let the issue of big repair bills deter me.

and you can also extend the Freeway plan beyond 5 years if you wanted to keep the car longer

*watches as PP goes down the dangerous road of falling in love with Audi's*

So easy to do. I am on my fourth now. Intend to drive this one until she gives me problems - then get another. 160k on the clock and still like new so don't sed her going anywhere soon.

First : A4 1.8
Second : A4 3.2
Third : A6 2.8 Quattro
Current : A6 3.2 FSi Quattro. Lowered suspension (stock), 19" mags with 265/35/19's fitted, full house. Freaking love this car. Literally.

mine was:

First: A4 1.8 T
Second : A4 1.8 T
Current : A4 1.8 T

Even though there is a pettern I think the next one might be a Q5

Didn't you have a Toyota 86?

Or am I confusing you with someone else?

Been mulling over a Q5 so my next one too. They're awesome.
Only when my current starts to show signs she must move on though. No rush.

My final payment is May 2014. Bonus!

I settled mine in the middle of the year so it's paid off, then helped my wife to buy a SLK

Mine....

1st: A4 2.8 B5
2nd: A3 1.8T
3rd: A4 1.8T B6
4th: A4 2.0T B7
5th and current: A4 2.4 B6

Had a Golf 4 2.0 in the middle of all that too.

1st car ever was a Jetta Fox followed by a Citi Golf and then the 1st Audi A4 2.8

You never wanted to try an A6? Quite a nice jump from the A4.
I never wanted to at first, but my wife convinced me to because of the size of the family. Glad I did. Have to admit though, my first A6 felt totally out of my league. I adapted though :)

Never felt old enough for an A6 :p

And now that I am, I can't afford one!!! :o

Before I got the A4 2.0T I was test driving a few Audis one of which was an A6 3.0 tdi Quattro! Was VEEEERY keen for it but couldn't afford it!!

You seen the new RS6 Avant Mike?? Bloody awesome!!! One of those or a RS7 would do me very nicely thanks!! A mate of mine has just bought a Porsche! For that money I would take a RS Audi any day!!

At one stage was looking at the RS4!! I could easily afford a 2nd hand one but not the maintenance!!! That could potentially break me!!
