The Audi Thread

Geesus!! What's the model and mileage?

2007, A6 3.2 Fsi Quattro. 174k on the clock. Sunroof B&O sound. Electric seats. 19" alloys. Black. Freaking sexy beast. Love this car. Not a stitch of mechanical wear showing. Most I have had to replace outside of normal service is a fan belt a month back.
Pushing about 700kms a week.

Ya - sucks dude.

My last A6 I traded they gave me 35 fkn K for it. Was so pissed. I had had it for 8 years and was 10 years old total so ya. But still. I wanted the one I have now so bad though that I just overlooked it.

Yep it is hard to find a decently specced upper tier model, those are usually held on for a while by proud owners and taken care of well.

90.... nee jas I would honestly post on autotrader as well hey, if it wasn't for what we discussed before I'd have bought it for ~150-180, but that fell through as you know. Sure somebody here or on the VWclub would be interested, why not make a posting there as well?

@ sand_man: It's a 2007 A6 3.2 Quattro with basically full spec.

EDIT: Ninja....

I seem to remember seeing your A6 on carb when you tried to flog it and I hate to say but that model didnt age well. The A5 looks 10x better.

R90 is eina though, damn. Big 2nd hand Audis don't sell.

The problem is timing dude. Unless I could find a buyer happy to put down a deposit with a guarantee of full payment within 48 hours of me finding a replacement and we sign papers.
I would honestly let it go now for R140k privately if I could get a buyer. Midway between value and trade-in. Sigh...

Insane!! Yeah, I reckon a couple of weeks in the Autotrader and she'll go.... That's a lot of car for R140k nevermind the R90k Airport's giving you... Daaaamn!!

Ye - I did try on carb. I let the ad fall away though. Also estimated the price a bit too high. Could not actually bring myself to sell it at the time. Well - still struggling. Sigh...

With the amount of driving I do, I have to let her go as the constant driving is going to devalue the car as I clock the mileage. Looking now to replace every 3 to 4 years so I don't drive mileage too high.

Think Carb is mostly lower budget stuff... Haven't had any interest in mine from there. Think the Citi Golfs and Corsa B/Cs fly there. :p

R90k is quite a loss, hell, I could get R100k trade in on mine.

Could you post some pics of yours? Only ever saw the 'mysterious' foresty one. :)

I'm having a ****ing hard time finding a low mileage 2007 A4 2.0 T, am looking at DTM though. It's just too much money for such a similar car. **** the scarcity, they aren't worth R150k+.

What's your budget? I know you looking for an A4 2.0T but you could also consider a 2006/7 A6...

I'm quite tempted by this one... Low mileage diesel makes sense to me, however when diesel engines start giving s hit, prepare to remortgage your home...

There pics of her still floating around we can see Mike?

Looks good in white, and I like those mags.

But the A6 is just a bit ou**** for me. I'm still a lightie. :D

Plus I like the fact that the A4 servicing is on par with Golf/Polo.

Budget is R125 - R150k. Been looking for 6 months... Compulsive Gumtree refresh disorder.

Also the problem with A4 DTM is that the silly money owners are wanting is B8 territory...

They ride beautifully, very cossetted and luxurious feel, as you would expect!! And loads of power!! The 3.0 TDI is a bit of a beast with all that low down torque!! For a R150k-R180k that is a boatload of car!!

I'm very tempted to have a serious look at getting one of these but my only concern is maintenance costs could get nasty!!

Nice. A6 3.2 Quattro would tempt me!

Was awesome driving the 2.0 T Quattro the other day. A4 3.2 is also tempting.

Miss my 1993 Mazda 626 2.5 V6. :(

Dude, once you do Quattro you won't drive anything else. It's like the cab is on rails. Both my A6's have been Quattro and every Audi going forward will be too.

That 3.2 at sea level will run rings around the 2.0T! Might battle at altitude though...

I am worried that I will start crying when I hand the keys over :( This A6 been the best cab I have ever owned.

I thought I was the only one that got so attached.

I remember a dealer showing me all the new features of my car and while they did that, they were closing the showroom doors - so another salesperson reversed my old car right next to the new car :( I told the dealer I had to leave and I'd figure out from the owners manual ... didn't really want to see them together. Like an ex and current in the same room

R90k is what they gave me for the A6. Freaking extortion!
On Autotrader they are going for R190k to R210k. Freaking annoys me

Worse than mine! I was given R200,000 (fought for it!) and they sell at R260,000 - but they don't even have to pay a cent to replace anything due to motorplan. R230,000 on another Volvo though

But the A6 is just a bit ou**** for me. I'm still a lightie. :D

I haven't checked the B7 - but the B8 is huge ... also makes me look pretty old ;) I think it's longer than a Volvo S60, C Class, 3 Series and A5!
