Now how can you post such a measly pic dude. Front, back, side, inside, etc... C'mon dude. Dying to drool some more.

Post your finding, experience, etc... I want to see if you find this to be as awesome as I find the A6's.

And one big congrats bud. The A6 is king.

Thanks bro!! Will post pics as soon as I have taken her out the garage!!

The first time I drove it was on the way back from taking delivery of it! There a pair of rattles coming from the dashboard as well as the drink holders compartment that are going to drive me insane!!

Also finding the tiptronic box not as responsive as I would like. Takes a while for the kick down to actually engage which is a little disconcerting. Sure once it gets used to my heavy right foot it will improve though. Previous owner was apparently an accountant and we all know how conservatively they drive? :p

Generally the car is in exceptional nik for a 7 year old car. Date of delivery is 8/8/2007 so it's a mid 2007 vehicle with FSH at Audi Centurion.

It's pretty standard except for Sunroof, rear pdc and a Parrot hands free kit. No AMI, Nav, electric seats or car phone but I'm considering putting Nav and AMI in. Waiting on quotes, it's R7800 for Satellite Navigation. Not sure it's worth it considering I can use my phone or tablet to fulfill that functionality. Love gadgets though and would love to have these features built in for ease of use and fun factor!! No electric seats which disappointed me! I thought they were standard on the A6! Was a bit peeved when I saw that!! Again, gadget appeal!!

The ride is quite awesome, very comfortable car to drive and the power is just intoxicating! Definitely the fastest car I've owned! We will see about fuel consumption but I'm expecting around 8l/100km on a combined city/freeway cycle. Cannot wait to get her out on the open road and see how she cruises!! Got a 2 week holiday to Umhlanga planned for July so looking forward to that!

All-in-all it's a massive step up from the A4 I been driving! As Mike will attest to, chalk and cheese. From the power, to the luxury fit and finish, to ride quality! Haven't put the handling to the test and it does feel very different to a fwd vehicle so I've got to be a little careful until I'm used to it...

I got 2 highly recommended mechanics to take her to for all her out of warranty servicing (which is all of it) so happy days!!

I was meant to trade my A4 in but have chosen to keep it for now. Have sent it off to have all it's niggles attended to and will try palm it off to the wife once I get it back. Will most likely flog her Renault Megane...

Awesome dude. Now you got me hanging for my old A6 back.
Audi Airport gave me some options today but not up to scratch so they looking some more. I am going to be patient and wait for the one that makes me drool.
I do hope they hurry up. I really want another A6 now. Damn you man ;)

I have to admit I am enjoying the A5. Today I was in the middle of supporting a client online when I had to go fetch kids. I made this A5 shunt - and boy did she. Home (close to Barbara Rd) to Reddam House in Bedfordview in 8.5 minutes. I did take it easy home though cause I had my little ones in the car. This A5 can perform when you make her.

What you said about the Tiptronic gearbox I am finding in my A5. In my A6, the response was instant. No lag or delay at all. My wife and I always had to adjust a bit when we drove each others cars (her A4 was multitronic). This A5 feels like her multitronic with that slight delay between foot down and response.
I too am hoping it adjusts based on my driving style.

What I am really hoping - based on what you said - is that this is not how the newer tiptronics are. I will be a bit disappointed.

Here's what I'm thinking... the S-Tronic is supposed to be faster than the Tip, but judging from what you told me I think your A6 had some tuning done to the gearbox by the previous owners, would explain the difference you are feeling.

What would be involved in getting the same kind of tuning done to our gearboxes then? Would really love to have that instant response back.

I been hearing a lot about torquetuning in Krugersdorp. Sarel Snyman!! Go to guy for servicing and tuning!!

My A4 is currently there for repairs!! Been there for the last 3 days. She's broken!! Want to see what this guy does with her but if the referrals over at Audi forum SA are to be believed he is something of a guru/God when it comes to vehicle maintenance and not only VW/Audi...
 
Hmmm one can go to any of the local tuning houses, REVO, CPI, there are quite a few. Should cost a few pennies to have a "DSG Flash" which would prioritize sportiness and let it rev higher than redline, while making manual mode full manual if you opt for it (in other words it won't change gears unless prompted, no matter what)
 
@Mike have you driven your A5 in S/sport mode at all? Apparently that makes a massive difference.

I decided that if I was going to consider an A6, it would have to be the 2009 facelift model. But it's a ridiculous ±R50k pay in for so little, the car is still practically the same. The 2.0 T engine was attractive though, after looking at the 2.4 and 3.2 V6 consumption figures...

All in all though, too much car for me. Looking at A4 B8s now...

You're in your 20s, consider an A6 when you get to their age have have popped a few spawns :)

Seriously liking the B8 in Ibis White, shows off the lines well. Also considering a 1.8 T for the first time for its efficiency. Would probably do a Revo 1 though...

Haha, thanks bro!!

It's quite a different gig to the A4, less sporty and firm and more boat like! The price difference between the older A4 and A6 is small, like for like, 20k-30k, well worth it!!

Gave it a quick test yesterday but conditions not really right for messing with that. Will try it this weekend.
In my A6 it took me just under a year to start using it. Sport mode was insane on that car. Like seriously insane. Scared me.
