Feeling post purchase dissonance at the moment...:o Similiar to what Mike was probably feeling quite soon after getting his A5... :p

The ride into work was awesome though, 27km trip at an average of 8.1l/100km! Didn't hammer it though. Drove very conservatively while I get to grips with this machine...

There some incredibly annoying rattles coming from the dash and MMI console. I'm hoping Sarel at TorqueTuning will be able to sort these out for me!! Nothing cheapens the ride like a rattle!!! And now that I don't have Bose sound to drown out those rattles.... :cry::cry::cry:

Of all the extras available the previous owner chose the most pointless one, a sunroof!!

Everything else seems to be stock!! Sound, no electric seats, no nav, no ami, no car phone, no tv... I'm not so happy at the mo... Was too quick to buy, should have shopped around more!!

Condition and mileage of the car seems solid though so that's a plus..

Think I must convince my wife to take this...

Sunroof is one of those things I have to have in my cabs. Essential.
I like fresh air and don't want to have to run the aircon unit all the time. Also don't like to open windows.
And when driving home after dinner in the evening with the family, slide the sunroof open and rake a slow cruise home listing to the purring thump of the V6.
Ye - can't do without my sunroof.

My PPD has disappeared now. Really enjoying the A5. Everything. Got no complaints right now.
Going to let Audi Airport keep looking for an A6 though. If they find one that grabs me I go for it, else sticking with the A5.
Was driving to the kids school just now and had an A5 2.0T in front me for half the distance. Was perving over it then clicking... Hey - you're driving one of those :o
Then he dropped behind me and I got a nice long look from the front. Ya. Good looking vehicle. He front not as sexy as mine though, but still hot.

But ye dude. Fix the rattles. I am the same. Hate rattles in my car.

Maybe the dealer ripped it off before delivery?

When I crank up the sub in the sound settings the bass increases exponentially but is that the sub? Or is it bass pumping through the other speakers? I don't know...

I love a sunroof!

For me the non negotiable are sunroof, Xenon, Bluetooth and automatic. In this one instance, I looked past it because it was a good deal - but I need the other 3.

I think extra he paid a ton for the seats, PDC front/rear and for some odd reason, I got a phone cradle along with my Bluetooth ;)

Ye - supposed to be a black box tucked away on the right. Your sub control seems to be wired to the normal speakers. Maybe question this?

Edit: Your cab may also be different to my and it is somewhere else. Same year though so I don't know about that.

I like the sunroof from an aesthetic point of view! It's a nice addition but it must be around R13k. For that money I would have gone Nav and AMI. Think I'm going to install Nav and AMI anyway, see if chucking more money at this cabbie cures the PPD!! :p Will send it to torquetuning for some TLC and take it from there...

Yeah, A5 is special bro!! There's no way around it! Has an X-factor missing from some Audi's...
 
I think Navigation from the factory is closer to R25k

FCK SAKES, and when I opened the boot yesterday the right compartment cover was lying in the boot and it didn't look as neat as it did when I inspected the vehicle at the dealership but I couldn't put my finger on what was different...
 
No I got the picture from Google - I have red electrci above that

Btw - yours locks on pull off?

Did some googling and some peeps reckon the subs are in the front doors dude. My 2007 A6 was delivered in Dec 2006 so perhaps our sub locations are different. Go do some testing. I think you may be in luck.

If however this is true, I think I prefer the bigger sub in the boot vs door subs. First thing that comes to mind with a sub in the door is rattle.

Mmmm, interesting. Thanks for that!! Could be as there seems to be 3 speakers in the door!! I've already sent the dealer a email asking about the woofers... :o
 
Mine never does it... Was driving the last 2 weeks unlocked
