:D Lol sorry, couldn't think of a more plain way to state it. While it would most certainly still run, you risk damaging or completely killing a good bit of the electronic side of things, such as the radio, music playing ability, basically anything attached to the MMI. It could hamper the main systems with regards to drive select though, since that bugging out might damage the actual mechanical side as well... I'm really just thinking at this point, really don't have anything official behind it.

But to be on the safe side, let's try not to break the thing that controls the majority of the carv:o

With regards to adding Bluetooth to my Audi A4 B7 I've gotten the decision down to the following two options:

1. This device from eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-B...B6-B7-Avant-/130811217771?hash=item1e74f4c76b - +- R1500 shipped.

2. A Parrot MKI9200 system bought locally - R2200

The only downside to the Parrot is that it has a separate control mechanism. I think the other device integrates with the steering controls.

Which would you buy? Why?

Another option. More expensive, but it is practically OEM level and integrates completely because of that.

Lol agreed. In that case, the Parrot might be the simplest method as it doesn't require installation. Either way should be good

Would comprehensive insurance of R605.54 with R3500 excess be a good price for insurance for PP's Audi (the one he's selling)?

Santam?

Mine's R637.90 with R2,500 excess. Parks behind electric fencing, that would be one factor that brings the cost down.

Yes, Santam. I read your thread on car insurance, and figured Santam is the best to go with.

I'm in a security complex (gates, electrified fencing). But because I don't have household insurance with them, they said I can't change the excess amount.

Interesting, I don't have household. But I have been with them for years now, and took out insurance on the Audi 15 months ago. I know there was a recent change, could be this. Either way, sounds like a pretty good premium.

Hi guys,

First off, I would just like to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. The information really swung my vote to go for an Audi. As you will notice, I have been a member since 2008, but only have 3 posts. I am more of a reader than a poster, but I have kept an eye on this thread for a while.

I am now the proud owner of a 2013 A4 1.8 TSFI S Multitronic. I can't say a bad word about it. It is really awesome to drive and I often find myself just wanting to get in it and take a drive to nowhere, just for fun. Initially when I was looking I wanted three options - Navigation, Sunroof and the Xenon Plus. Struggled to find one with all three and eventually decided that I would be happy with the Nav and Xenons, as I had a sunroof before and I rarely used it. Only one downer I realized a few days after having it is that my model (the "S") doesn't have cruise control. It is really weird that someone put the Nav in the S, and not the SE, but since the gearbox is so awesome, I have come to terms with living without it.

Cheers.

Welcome, glad you found this thread useful. Hope you have many happy miles.

88 or 118kW? ;)

Thanks PostmanPot. On a side note, you are also the reason why I bought a Samsung 51 D550 Plasma after I read through the whole debate in the Tv discussion thread. Awesome picture and going strong still despite its age.

As far as I know, it is the higher one - either 118kw, or as I have been told 125kw. It has a lot of power and torque at low revs, and when the turbo gets going its awesome.

Good to hear I've been useful, it's not often. ;)

Enjoy your plasma while you can, your next purchase will likely be LCD unless OLED becomes affordable.

Thinking of selling my 2013 3-door 1.8 Stronic A3 , 15k mileage, Monsoon Grey, Bose Sound System, Xenons, full Leather Seats etc.. Would sell for 20k under market value just to skip the chancers on Autotrader and work with a decent buyer.

I hope one of you guys can shed some light on my problem..

I drive a 2004 b6 Avant. I couple of weeks ago the car cracked a thermostat housing.

I have done the following so far:
Cam belt and water pump (2013)

Both fans in radiator
Electronic Fan Control Module
Thermostat
Temperature sensor at rear flange behind engine block
Temperature sensor on radiator (Bottom right)

The fans come on when I start the car and wont switch off by themselves.
When I restart the car they don't come on at all.

It doesn't feel like the lower radiator hose is getting warm.

It does feel like the coolant is overheating although the temperature gauge sits at 90.

I do get warm air when i set the climate control to warm, but the aircon just blows air.

I suppose the last thing (maybe I should have done this first?) would be to open the relay compartment to check the fuses and relays. Cant get the bloody wiper off though...
Any thoughts would be helpful

Why you selling and what is market value?

Why you selling and what is market value?

Already have 2 cars and decided best to let this one go, need to start saving for a house/move overseas etc.

Looking online for something similar they go for about 320k with the same specs/mileage.
