My man!

I wouldn't stress about it, it will smell unpleasant the next time your engine warms up but that will be the end of it. If the oily plastic bits are worrying you you can always wash your engine cover.i was topping up my oil and a huge gust of wind came and blew a good few table spoons of oil everywhere under my bonnet.
Cleaned it up best i could, hopefully nothing drips down and causes problems below?
The guys that steam clean their engine etc... , is that purely for appearance sake?

Thanks, does the oil evaporate? Might damage the plastic bits but that is purely cosmetic? Any rubber bits exposed to the oil will be fine?I wouldn't stress about it, it will smell unpleasant the next time your engine warms up but that will be the end of it. Was driving a few KM down the road to my mom when the car started juddering on idle. Dropped power too... Accelerating the last few KM was slow and as I pulled in, my engine management light started flashing.
And just over 4 months after this, driving and get a big yellow EPC display on the dashboard. Yet again, getting it towed tomorrow morning
