The Audi Thread

The new models look amazing but they are honestly getting ridiculously overpriced. I wont be able to sleep at night paying R500k for a base A4 or even worse R300k for a decent A1. If you get a good 2nd hand deal its just value for money.

My A5 went into Audi Airport this AM for it's major service. It is due for the S-Tronic service which Auto Service Centre don't do - so had no choice but to take it to the stealership.

R11k!! Sigh. Just trying not to think about it.

S-tronic meaning the gearbox, what the hell do they change for R11k?

It's probably one of those "don't worry sir, we just need to remove the engine to replace the gearbox oil, labour R10500, parts R500"

Well they said it is due for an oil change - and that service is R4,800. Just the gearbox part.
So the remaining R6k odd is made up from the rest of the cars major service. Only replacement parts are front brake pads.

Thank goodness the gearbox service is not regular. Back to Auto Service Centre for future services.

So I took an A6 3.0T for a test drive on Thursday afternoon!! The bitch pulls! That's a great engine, that is! Made an offer on it but it was rejected!
