Well this was an interesting one because...if any of you are audio fanatics - this is how this plays out.

Sound united who own polk and Definitive technology - have now bought d+m - who sell Denon, denon HEOS, Marantz, Boston acoustics....

All i can say is good luck to Homemation who are the distributors in this country - because of the following:

Firstly SONOS - imported and distributed by Audiotronic since 2005!!! (which Denon copied - to create HEOS) is THE biggest audio company in the world at the moment - They have been going since 2004!!! They are 10 years ahead of everybody - hence denon had to get creative to try compete - so they copied SONOS and created HEOS - which is absolute crap compared to SONOS...So they aint going to win there. There was even a court case about the copyright and SONOS won.

Secondly - Boston acoustics has been around for awhile - but have not brought out anything new for ages...So what chance do they stand - very little.

Polk audio - Not the same since Matthew Polk sold the company - a good product - rumour has it - Sound united want to bring out a Polk / denon heos combo....good luck with that one...

So all i can say is goodluck Homemation - and also poor Homemation didnt have a choice in taking over Polk and DT - They were given it - and if they said no they would have lost Denon....

Things are very tough in the audio world....and to mention one other thing - the Bowers and Wilkins been bought out by an american techy company was also a shocker!! B&W will never be the same anymore, so goodbye to what we know as B&W as that's all going to change....

Yeah just go look at the history of B&W and Harmon group of companies.
There's been big consolidation of premium hi-fi brands over the last 2 decades.

Sonos the biggest audio company in the world? LOL.

Maybe among companies that do nothing but audio (and speakers at that).

Would love to see a source for that statement.

Not to mention they cover a very small portion of the audio market and hardly what I would call audiophile stuff. Purely consumer Plug & Play stuff.

Also B&W was bought out 2 years ago already. Just because someone else controls the money doesn't mean anything at all will change.

So, apart from wishing Homenation good luck, what are you actually sayin'?
