i don't blame them running off, they get attacked everytime they post so whats the point. I know what you're gonna say, well if they can't take a few irate customers then they shouldn't bother working for WBS but they ussually come here of thier own accord after hours, I know I wouldn't even bother
 
WBS should have a PR and communications department, part of their jobs should be obviously:
1) marketing
2) helpdesk, and yes I do believe that helpdesk is not a technical function although it has a big technical component
3) Engaging with their customers directly whether by mail, meeting or forum especially when they are having problems with the service they deliver.

They should delegate someone who's job it is to give answers to the forum. He should be senior enough to officially communicate without having to get approval from anyone before he publishes an answer. (And, yes that happens)
