Not gonna lie, but the best chicken wings are the ones you make yourself and drench in Spur's Dirkie sauce

I deep fry or broil the wings. Then dunk them in a mixture of hot sauce (Frank's if you can get it but Tabasco works just fine) + butter + a maybe a dash of garlic powder.

I am, but I'll settle for anything with a similar taste. It just works on chicken wings, not much else.

Durky sauce
140 ml vinegar (white)
350 ml water
1.25 ml chilli powder
2.5 ml tabasco sauce (optional)
10 ml garlic flakes
15 ml onion, diced into small blocks
15ml sugar
5 ml salt
3ml paprika
2.5 ml maizena

Think I'll try making it myself one of these days

Ed's Diner at Parkview was pretty damn good.

You've got a point there. Ed's use to be my local but I haven't been for quite a while. They have been going slightly downhill since the Centurion one opened though, in my opinion because they moved all good staff to Centurion. I read someware that the Centurion one closed down 2 weeks ago so will see.

One additional for the home users in Durbs, there is a spar in Bluff Road at the top of the hill, next to the water tower. They have marinated wings in the butchery, awesome for a saturday rugby snack, pop in oven for 15-20, good to go!
