The best temperature for your workplace

If you get too hot, there is very little you can do about it, if you are getting too cold then put of a F'ing cardigan or something. Its middle of summer and there are still people walking around with jackets :wtf:

24'C. Best compromise between the white people who want it <20'C, and everyone else...

Air-conditioning and heating was an unnecessary cost to business in the production side of my business. Some staff complained and even threatened to leave because it was either too hot or cold. They even brought labour inspectors one day but they could do nothing. Air-conditioning and heating at work is not some right, but a privilege. We did however, offer Air-conditioning and heating in the admin section in inclement weather only. A single office aircon unit costs about R1000 a month to heat a room in winter and to cool it off in summer. My prudent cost-saving measures saved me a small fortune over the years. It probably covered a foreign vacation for me and my family now and then.

Can almost guarantee you that attitude cost you decent staff at regular intervals, but then we all know you have some twisted ideas on what is "normal" in terms of running a business.

I have been working in aircon environments since 1997 and the best temp is 21.5

Good god... no wonder he is leaving for NZ... what a fun person to work for. Guess the real reason he is leaving because nobody wants to work for an utter and complete jerk such as this.
Just, so glad this one is getting the hell out of my country... we don't need narcissitc, sado-masochistic people like this in SA. I wonder how much psychological damage this person inflicted on people in his/her employ.

Colder offices are particularly bad news for women over the age of 40, as these individuals typically put on one additional kilogram per year to compensate for the colder environment.

so cold air makes a woman put on weight? lol

there you have it ladies, the winter air makes you fat. nevermind eating the comfort foods when cold. its the temperature.
