How much does a braai like that cost to build? I want something like that.
This seems about right.I am going to guesstimate.
Braai with Cowel is +- R5000, and the Chimney with the lintels and labour will be between R5000 and R7000, maybe more.
Things have really gone up in price.
That sounds reasonableThis seems about right.
That was built in 2012.
Braai was R3000
Bricks and stuff was about R3000
Labour was R8000 but this included building a 9m long carport and facade.
All this braai images. Makes me luss for SPUR
I thought this thread would have caught on by now :erm:![]()

Inside Braai, within enclosed Patio.
We only recently built it, and I'm loving it. Rain or shine, Winter or Summer, we can braai.
I do however want to get a standalone braai that I can put on the lawn in the Summer days, nothing like braaing in a group, standing around the braai, having a few beers and criticising the braai master. Built in braai's are anti-social and the heat can get a bit intense.
My outside Braai area.... Work in progress obviously

The area is now paved but the kitchen is on hold for the moment
I want all that wood, the braai you can keep..![]()
why doesn't the door open/stack to other side? gonna be *** hot standing there with that glass sending the heat back to you...
This thread has made me realise that i need to build a braai on my stoep.
any decent plans available that anyone has used ?
Cheers

BTW : some awesome braai's here
Guy from Rooiberg sells it. R100 Streepsak. THIS is decent Sekelbos.
Not to mention that you will be there on your ace, like your own little braai hokkie. Unless the door would block the view out of that smaller window on the left?
I have a room that I want to convert into a indoor braai area. I want the braai build into the window space, but on the outside to maximise the space of the room. The chimney still needs to go through the roof as the roof overhang is quite long. Ballpark how much am I looking at all included?
