Anyone know what this is? Referring to those ads they have been flighting that tell you nothing at all... Let's start guessing. Maybe 3D over DSTV?

any links to these ads? I've seen nothing, but I know box office was leaked on what type of hardware a few weeks back - theres a thread somewhere here 
I'd happily pay that for new releases...

Hopefully they have different options with different prices.
Wonder how the release schedule will work... the same as Rental shops?

My local video rental charges R22 inluding latest BluRay releases. So R29 would be a definite looser.

What you say is true, and i will most likely take the DSTV option then going to nearest movie rental store.
Dont forget about movies that are already rented out...
But, is it fair that MC are taking advantage of us at R29 per movie, considering the overheards of thoudands of movie rental stores.
Surely movies over the air (and must be HD btw) should be a lot cheaper.

Surely it's not fair that diamonds too are overpriced? It is quite simple really - talk with your wallets.
While the long-term business-plan is cheaper, it requires considerably higher capital overheads at first. Quite simply, being a truly optional and luxury service, if they outprice themselves, they will fail dismally. I think under R35 per movie is reasonable in my books, considering my local Blockbusters charges R30 per new release...

Considering the small amount of petrol you save, plus the missioning to choose the movie at the shop and dealing with screaming kids, i'd be grateful

Also, dont forget, if pricing IS R29, then its R29 for 48hrs, thats 2 days (duh), how many video stores do you know that allow you to rent a movie for R29 for 2 days? I cant think of any, maybe thats because I dont rent movies nowadays and not up to scratch.
